Erin Hunt is a Canadian painter who has lived on Fogo Island in Ktaqmkuk / Newfoundland for the past fourteen years. With a background in architecture and thirty years of painting, Hunt’s work has evolved in relation to abstraction and different languages of seeing and working. She develops her paintings through attention to colour, material relationships, and the shifting conditions of perception, informed by an interest in objects and the subtle relationships through which experience and meaning emerge.
